Emily is the owner of Spotlight Dance Academy, as well as a dance instructor at the studio. She is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and baton. Emily trained in these various dance styles for 16 years and continued to dance after completing her training. She can't imagine a world where she isn't dancing. She has been teaching dance for 17 years, and she has a passion to see her students develop and grow in their dance technique. Emily opened Spotlight Dance Academy in 2015 but taught at other studios before opening her own studio. Emily has owned studios in both Union City and Martin but has settled down in Martin. Emily hopes to see all of the students at Spotlight Dance Academy excel!
Lanna Kate is a UTM student pursuing a degree in social work. She is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary dance styles. She has been dancing for a total of 11 years and has a love for the art form. She is trained to dance ballet en pointe, as well. In her freshman year of college, she danced on the UTM Dance Ensemble, where each year they perform one show per semester. Lanna Kate also owns a character entertainment business in Martin, Magic Moments Parties, where she works with children often. She loves working with children and students of all ages. She hopes to cultivate a love of dance in all of her students and is passionate about seeing students to grow in their dance abilities.
Temple is a native to our area, as she grew up in the neighboring town of Union City. She has been dancing for 13 years, and she instructs hip-hop at Spotlight Dance Academy. She is trained in ballet, tap, lyrical, and hip-hop dance styles. She has competed in dance competitions over the years. Temple is full of life, bubbly, and energetic--a perfect fit for teaching our younger and elementary-aged dancers! She loves to see her students engaged and excited to learn. She aspires to help children work towards their dreams as dancers!
Bryleigh has been dancing for 18 years, and she has been training with Spotlight Dance Academy since its opening. She is trained in numerous styles, including ballet, jazz, lyrical, pompom, and baton. She studied dance at Spotlight Dance Academy throughout her high school career. Bryleigh was also on the competition cheer team at her high school. She now continues to express her love for dance on the UTM Pom Squad, where she performs dance routines for numerous school events! Bryleigh loves to teach the younger dancers and hopes to be a good role model for her students, encouraging them to be the best dancers they can be!
